Guntersville, May 2005

Fishing is on and off on Guntersville right now, but in about one week it will be on fire. When the last fish come off bed, the bite will get much better. The fish that are being caught the most consistently right now are on jigs and plastic. A 1/2oz. Booyah jig in Black/Red or Green is a good bet on flipping in shallow water. We are also selling a ton of Sweet Beavers going to Guntersville. Black/Blue seems to be the hottest color. The Senko fishermen report excellent catches on Watermelon/Pearl and Mardi Gras in the grass. Scum Frogs have been moving also for some of the shallow grass in Brown and Spring Creek. The Zoom Horny Toad in Watermelon Red/Pearl or Watermelon Candy may be a good bet to catch em over the grass that isn't to the surface yet.
