TOLEDO BEND JUNE 2005Subject: Toledo Bend, TexasSubmitted by Red Cobra (ip 65.16.124.139) Date Fished: 6/13/05 Friday p.m. we had a good bite from 7:15p.m. to 8:15p.m. caught fish off of midlake grass beds on Senko's, frogs, & PopR. Not any true pattern(7 fish, 6 nice size keepers). I believe the Senko's and PopR's work better early and late and the frog in between times. Senko's rigged Tx style produce through out the day off of 8 to 12' grass lines as do cut tail worms, and 4"LakeFork ring frys. All in Watermelon Red or watermelon gold. PopR's in Chrome blue and Bone. Haven't yet decided how much color matters on frog as I will throw 1 color and wife another and we both catch fish. Oh well it is a REACTION lure, RIGHT? We only go out for 4 or 5 hrs in the a.m. and approx the same in p.m. and this past Saturday we had to combine both periods to say we had a mediocre day. Sunday a.m. we started 5:45 a.m. and quit at 10:30a.m. and had 2 keeper spinnerbait fish(very early) and 2 keeper tx rig cut tail worm fish(5 dinks). Not real good but I've done a lot worse. Lake is on a very slow fall and grass is coming on strong. Based on amount of Salvinia around edges of creeks, nooks, shorelines, etc I expect it will really explode INDEX: |
