LOGAN MARTIN JUNE 2005Logan Martin has one of the most exciting topwater bites right now that we have seen in a while. Early bites on Sammy 100's are just awesome. The mid section of the river on shallow areas around the islands near Seddon Creek are holding very good fish. The bite seems to be short lived so get on them early and follow the shad. Chartruese Shad in the 100 size is the way to go. Following the topwater bite, shaker heads with Watermelon Red NetBait finesse worm. Fish it slow because things get a little tough mid-day. The flipping bite near wood was also good with a small brown jig. Bites were plentiful even when other things weren't working. Others have reported good bites on spinnerbaits throughout the day. The Blue Shad Screamin Eagle is the best bet.INDEX: |
