LOGAN MARTIN JUNE 2005

I fished the Poor house tournament today with a friend Morris Ellis. We started with Paca Craws in the grass for 4 keeper largemouth and 1 on a sizmic frog to my surprise none of the 5 had any size as we would later cull all but one of them on jighead/worm combos and would later cull a couple of those with the sworming hornet fish head spin in 3/8 oz Arkansas Shiner fished slowly thru a school of fish in 20 feet of water . We would barely reel the spin as it would come thru the school getting sometimes 3 bites on one cast and then the rod would load up heavy and it would be a keeper. I tried a dropshot rig and caught small fish on it . We used fluke jrs on the fish head and on the spotsticker jighead we used SS Magic and Red Bug in Spotsticker Hand poured finesse worms. We had a weight of 7.92 for 5 fish and caught near 20 keeper fish and never really had anything of any size on that would have helped. Not sure of the winning weight but heard a 15 pound bag called out as we were leaving. Nice to on the lake ! Good Fishing and God Bless !
