Friday my client and I spent four hours searching for those big Booyah jig fish. We focused on thick shallow milfoil and it paid off. We managed 7-8 fish with 3 of them over 5 lbs. The photo is a double we landed, and there was 4 other fish following these two just as big.

Saturday I had the pleasure of fishing the 6th annual Kick’n Bass TOC coaches tournament with Arnold Gamber. Arnold is the Auburn University Football Athletic Trainer. Arnold and I finished in 3rd place with 22+, Doug Campbell took 2nd with 25+, Billy Ledbetter crushed the field with 28+, and Jimmy Mason took big bass honors with a 7+. As always Jeff Bergstresser put on another great event and I’m looking forward to next year.

I have June 22 and 23 open next week.
