We went on a 30 hour trip last Friday and Saturday on the "Outaline" a nice carolina style Albermarle from Orange Beach. Friday night was very exciting dodging and going through a pretty serious squall and catching a nice swordfish. Saturday at the Elbow we hooked a 250- 300 pound blue marlin that went deep into a spool of a 50 Tiagra. It still amazes me just how fast a blue marlin can get from 50 feet behind the boat to a half a mile away. This fish went wild, greyhounding and tail walking and some how in the fight broke the main line. We still do not know why that happend but mananged to put several fine dolphin and a wahoo in the boat. Thanks to the crew from Athens for a trip I will remember for a long time.
