CLARK HILL IS DOWN 10.2 FEET & 55 DEGREES BY RAPALA PRO STAFFER TIM WHITE

Bass fishing is really good right now. The Dogwood trees are cracking open their buds right now and as the blooms get bigger, the fishing gets better. Reports are coming in and it seems that it will take at least 16 to 20 pounds to win the weekend tournaments. As the weather gets warmer, expect to see the anglers fishing closer and closer to those bedding areas. Tom Hall is reporting a good bite on a Carolina rigged six inch lizard and those jigs. The Little River area is now turning on but be careful while navigating up in the rivers. As the moon phase changes, expect the top water bite to get better. X-Raps are really good choices in the jerk baits right now, especially very early in the morning. Secondary points and pockets are great places to use them right now. As the sun warms up the water, switch to a Speed Trap by Luhr-Jensen and a Root Beer colored "Radar" crank bait.

Crappie are biting really well up in the Savannah River right now. Trolling with a variety of crappie jigs is always a favorite. Take one of your rods and tie on a Rapala CD01 in the Silver color for some of the bigger fish.
