GUNTERSVILLE APRIL 2008 FISHING IS HOT

Got out Sat. fishing with great friend and business partner Rodney out of Goose Pond fishing the Mountian View Christian Tournament. They had a good turnout for thier first year and did a great job raising some much needed funding for the school. Rodney and I were glad to fish for such a great cause. Anyway on to the fishing, We slammed them all morning until about 11:00 then the bite was slow. We were culling fish from about 7:00 AM but only culling up by ounces.LOL We fished the same area most of the day and never could get a kicker but, had over 25 keepers between the two of us(one of the best numbers days I have had in awhile). We ended the day in 10th place with the winner being at 23+. 2nd was at 22+, 3rd-5th at 20+, and 6th-10th all over 19. We had 19.46lbs. We did get a little check but, it was more for the cause than the cash. Congrats goes out to all the anglers for a great days catch and some nice sacks. All our fish were caught on Jackall Flick Shakes(sunburn watermelon), SK poper Grande(shad), and one on a Tru-Tungsten Blade(white).

My boat is off the water for awhile but, I have to give a huge thanks to a GREAT friend Billy Appling. I will be in his ride for my trips coming up this week until they get my boat back to me. I am very lucky to have such great friends to offer me thier ride and help keep my clients on the water. Thanks to you all for the support and offers.
