PICKWICK APRIL 2008

Date Fished: 4/27/2008
Water Temperature: 70
Water Clarity: 0

This report is for Sunday.

This morning, I fished a half day trip on Pickwick with two clients. For the morning, we caught between 30-35 bass with all of them being largemouth. Our best five would have gone 12-13lbs with a 3.25lb big fish. Our most productive lures were a carolina rig YUM Lizard and an XCalibur XR50(Royal Shad). A number of these fish were pre-spawn fish that looked like they were just moving up. It was a fun morning.

This afternoon, I decided to fish Wheeler a couple hours to scout for some upcoming trips. I spent most of the time fishing for post-spawn fish and caught 8 bass. The best five would have gone 13-14lbs with a 4lb big fish. The most productive lure was a Booyah jig.

I have March 28 and April 1 open this week if any one is interested in a fun trip. In addition, I have some days open toward the end of May.
